New interim General Licenses and gulls are off the menu.

DEARA have now issued new interim General Licenses for taking pest birds in response to the legal challenge from Wild Justice.
They are likley to remain in place until a full public consultation has taken place in early 2022 and the responces are considered.
The new changes include the following.
Rooks can only be taken to prevent disease and damage to crops. TPG2
All gulls have been removed and can no longer be taken under the general license.
Feral pigeon can only be taken to protect public health and safety TPG1 or prevent disease and damage to crops TPG2
Wood Pigeon can only be taken to prevent disease and damage to crops. TPG2
Please remember you can still apply for an individual license to take pest species not listed on the General Licenses from the Wildlife Team Here
